RE: Certification of Pad Grade for Lots 1 and 2 of the City of Carlsbad Drawing No. 434-9A,
Project No. CT 03-06, Rough Grading Plans for Black Rail-16
To whom it my concern,
Excel Engineering performed a field survey on May 3, 2007 to confirm finish pad
grades for the referenced site. A minimum of 11 shots was taken across the finished pad
and the grades are as follows:
Pads Average Elevation Design Elevation
1 375.55 375.50
2 375.98 376.00
The maximum deviation from design to finish pad for said pads was found 0.1'. The pads are in
substantial conformance with the approved grading plan.

pad grades for the referenced site. A minimum of 10 shots was taken across the finished
pad and the grades are as follows:

5 369.50 369.50
6 366.48 366.50
7 360.49 360.50
8 357.90 358.00
The maximum deviation from design to finish pad for said pads was found 0.1'. The pads are in
