Gentlemen:
Presented herewith are our comments in regard to steepening of slopes in the subject lots as
requested by the design engineer, V.T.N. Engineers, Architects and Planners.
We have received a copy of the grading plan on May 6, 1976 ond data in our files with
regard to steepening of slopes on the subject lots and road cut. The results ore as follows:
1. The maximum height of fill-overcut slope as proposed is approximately 18 feet on
.Lot51.
2. The maximum height of fill slope as proposed is approximately 26 feet on Lot 215.
3. The maximum height of cut slope as proposed is approximately 19-l/2 feet on Lot 295.

Close observation during grading of the cut north of Alza Road by the engineering geologist
will determine the requirements for stabilizotion. The 1.6:1 cut ratio is considered satisfactory
with respect to gross stability.
It is our opinion that the subject slopes or other slopes that may be programmed at l-1/2:1 ore
grassly stable although it should be emphosized that due to the granular nature of onsite material
metal cover should follow the grading as soon as possible to minimize the possibility of surface
erosion.
