Gentlemen:
In accordance with your authorization, our firm is performing testing and observation services during grading operations on
the subject project.
Grading commenced with a clearing of surface organics, debris, and other deleterious material from the area to be graded. The then exposed ground surface which was to receive fill was pro-
perly benched, scarified, moisture-conditioned, and recompacted in accordance with the project specifications and recornendations contained in the report of Soil Investigation prepared by Southern California Testing Laboratory, dated September 25, 1973.
In-place density tests performed by ow firm indicated relative
D1557-70, Method C. Fill derived from on-site cutting operations compactions of at least 90%, based upon ASTM Compaction Test
was then placed in compacted layers until final elevations were reached. Grading operations for the subject lots have been com- pleted; however, grading for the remainder of the site has not. The soils exposed on the subject building pads are classified as
being non-expansive. As such, no foundation or interior concrete slab-on-grade reinforcement is required. -
