Gentlemen:
In accordance with your req~est, thi~ report has been prepared to present
the results of the in-place density tests performed on the sewer and water
trench backfi.,ll at the subject site by Southern California Soil & Te~ting,
Inco These tests were performed between October 29 and November 1,9, 1984.
Field density tests'were performed in accordance with A.S.T.M. Test 1556-74
at various locations and elevations in the water and sewer trenches. The
results and locations of these tests are shown on the attached plate.
Maximum dry density determinations were performed on representative samples
of the tested soil in accordance with AoS.T.Mo Test 1557-78, Method A. The
results of these test~, ~s presented on Plate Number ~, were used in conju nc-

tion with the fi,eld density tests to determine the percent of ~e1ative com-
paction of the trench backfiJl.
