Work Order 400011 Pagê'Two April 25, 1986. S Three (3) subgrade samples were obtained from the private street areas stated above. Classification tests indicated that all the soils were very similar so one (1) "R"-Value test was conducted for analysis. Test results indicated a "R" -Value of 44 for the interior streets. Sand equivalent tests and hydrometer analysis indicated a S.E. of 21 (81% Sand,11% Si1t,8% Clay) for Sea Gate Road, a S.E.. of 19 (78% Sand, 10%. Silt, 12% Clay) for Mariner Street; and a S.E. of 20 (82% Sand, 8% Silt; 10% Clay) for Shore 'Crest Road. Test results are presented on Plate A and,-Table I. A Traffic Index of 5.0 has been utilized for thé'interior.streets, access and parking areas, as per the City of Carlsbad Table A for local streets. 'Parking and access lanes are designed using a Traffic Index of 4.0 .
