The fixtures are included The following pages include the cut sheets for the underwater fixture and transformer. This is a new specification from the previous submission. The new fixture is a UL rated pool and spa fixture and is provided with a safety transformer from the manufacturer to meet the pool rating All lighting is connected - to circuits with GFCI protection. The following pages include the cut sheets for the over water fixtures. The over water fixtures are ETL wet location listed and have a secondary safety cable to secure the fixture to the mounting strut. All lighting is connected to circuits with GFCI protection. 4. Transformer is UL listed for pool applications and is listed as a component with the light fixture. All lighting in and over the water is protected by GFCI breakers. Lighting service or adjustment is performed by trained personal only when the attraction is closed. Underwater fixtures are UL listed for underwater use and powered by low voltage power supplies. Underwater fixtures have type STW (Extra hard service) cord designed for under water pool and fountain applications. This cord will be covered by a thin layer of sand or gravel to conceal it from view. Since the cord is on the bottom of the tank it is not subject to wear or traffic. Because of the physical limitations lighting and the nature of the attraction, the over water lighting is closer to the water than the swimming pool code allows. Although the water may be entered on occasion by a trained diver, the tank is not used for swimming or recreation and the general public is not allowed access at any time. Attraction staff are trained on proper safety practices and must follow established guidelines as part of their duties. The lighting plans and specifications have been updated with the attached specifications and are being submitted for review Please let us know if we can provide any further information. Structural foundations should be designed by the project structural engineer utilizing an allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf. Floor Slab Considerations Slab-on-grade floors should be at least 5 inches thick and be reinforced with No. 4 rebars 18 inches on center each way (minimum) placed at mid-height in the slab. We recommend control joints be provided across the slab at appropriate intervals as designed by the project architect. Where moisture-sensitive finishes are planned; underslab moisture protection should be designed by the project architect in accordance.with Section 4.505 of the 2013 California Green Building Standards Code (CBSC, 2013). Prior to placement of the sand layer, the upper 6-inches of slab subgrade should be moisture conditioned to at or above the laboratory optimum moisture content. The potential for slab cracking may be reduced by careul;qILof Water/cement ratios. The contractor should take appropriate c à during the pouring of concrete in hot weather to minimize cr6kyg of the slab We recommend that a slipsheet (or equivalent) be utilized if gr utedttilè'Thrbl4 tile, or other crack-sensitive floor covering is planned directlçi'ri, corrëab. All slabs should be designed in accordance with structural YY., ...' , -18- Le1ght . 10075.017 subject to lateral movement, and/or differential settlement. Potential distress to such improvements may be mitigated by providing a deepened footing or a pier and grade beam foundation system to support the improvement. Deepened footings should meet the setback as described above. 5.2.2 Drilled Pile Foundations For the analysis. and development of the various vertical capacities of CIDH piles, the computer program SHAFT (Version 2012) produced by Ensoft, Inc. was used. As shown in Appendix B, the Shaft capacity curves were developed for 11ill capacity curves are also presented in Appendix B. Pile settlement is anticipated to be less than 1/4 inch under design loads and normal 'service conditions. The design curves are based on center 10 center pile spacings of at least 3 pile diameters for the CIDH piles less than or equal to 3 foot diarlieter, and at least 5 pile diameters for the CIDH piles greater than 3 foot diameter. Where piles are spaced more closely, reduction in pile capacity is necessary. Construction of piles should be sequenced such that the concrete of constructed piles are allowed to setup prior to construction of piles within 5 diameters. In addition, we recommend that no subsurface existing or proposed improvement be constructed within at least five (5) pile diameteLt.,.Q.fe proposed CIDH foundations.
