As a design firm we normally do not receive a hard copy of the Permit when our Plan Check has been approved. In all cases we usually get a phone call or a postcard indicating that our project has been approved for construction. On this project, we had three stages of notification that our project had cleared Plan Check. On 8/1/06 we called Esgil Corporation, Bryan Zuppinger, and he indicated that our plans have been approved. On 8/3/06 we called The City of Carlsbad Building Department and were informed that our project cleared plan check. On 8/10/06 Red Hawk Corporation called and told us that Esgil had approved our plans. And, I believe a few days later, the Contractor, Reno Contracting, picked up the permit to build. I would like to have you recheck your records and confirm that this application is expiring. Upon conclusion of your review, can you let me know as soon as possible your findings?
