Provide a Title sheet and provide typical and general information including site plan of the project. 2. Please provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans to show compliance with the current Codes. The following are the correct current Codes: a. The 2013 edition of the California Building Code (CBC) adopts the 2012 International Building Code (IBC) and the 2012 International Residential Code (IRC). b. The 2013 edition of the California Electrical Code (CEC) adopts the 2011 National Electrical Code (NEC) and the 2012 California Amendments. c. The 2013 edition of the California Mechanical Code (CMG) adopts the 2012 Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC) and the 2012 California Amendments. d. The 2013 edition of the California Plumbing Code (CPC) adopts the 2012 Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and the 2012 California Amendments. e. The 2010 edition of the California Energy Efficiency Standards 3. Please structural calculations for the module addition on the existing roof. 4. Please provide a module roof layout plan. Section plan for railing and module installation. Indicate a minimum of 5" from roof surface to under the module to comply with UL 1703 Fire testing. 5. Clearly dimension the maximum height of the array at the highest point above the surface of the roof. Where any part of the array exceeds 24 inches above the roof surface, provide calculations from a CA State Licensed PE for uplift forces on the PV system, showing that all PV rack components and the roof structure and connections are adequately designed. Provide plans, details, and sections necessary to show all structural components and connections. The structural calculations, plans and details shall be sealed and signed by the P.E. 6. The following design loads shall be clearly indicated on the construction documents. Wind load. The following information should be provided: *Basic Wind speed (3-second gust), 110 mph (123 in Palm Springs) *Wind exposure shall be determined by the engineer. 7. Please demonstrate compliance with the fire access and pathways setback requirements under section 3111.4 of the 2013 residential CBC. Show setback dimensions on plans. There should be a minimum of 36" clear from the roof ridge. A, minimum of 36" clear from two, 36" pathways from the eave to the ridge. Also, there should be at least 18" . . When there is modules on both sides of the valley then 18" clear should be provided on both sides of the valley to the edge of the nearest module. Do not install junction boxes or any obstacles in the above clear fire department passageways. 8. Provide the required separate ground electrode for the "photovoltaic rack assembly" per 690.47 (D) or connect to the building electrode system. If the electrode conductor is routed through electrical equipment (disconnects, panels, meter enclosures, etc) then provide a detail on the plans describing compliance with CEC 250.64(C). (Conductor splices only allowed with compression connectors or exothermic welding.) Size the ground electrode conductor per 250.166, not smaller than #8. *Note: The rack electrode system is described in the 201 O CEC 690.47(0) and the upcoming 2016 CEC 690.47(0). It was mistakenly deleted from the 2013 CEC. 9. Please show exact location of the items shown on single line in lieu of general circled area. Provide an AC disconnect within sight of the inverter. CEC 690.14(0)(2) 1 O. Include typical labeling details for the solar PV addition throughout the system.
