Refer to the attached Plot Plan, Plate "A", for location of the tests Scope The purpose of the grading was to bring the site to proper elevation and to provide a building pad on controlled compacted fill. Site Condition The existing structure was still on the site, however, the pump islands and AC paving had been removed. Pumps and other material Page 1 of 3 LISA ENTERPRISES, INC. GEO-EXETA LABORATORIES JOB NUMBER C-692-?! Site Condition fCont'd) to be used during construction were stored at the Northwest corner of the site. Existing tanks had been removed and excavation had been backfilled. Procedure"~~ Prior to earth grading the site was cleared of all organic and most of the deleterious material, and the existing structure was mov^d to the adjoining property. The new tank excavation was completed and tanks were put in place. Areas to receive fill at grade or cut to gra*de were scarified to a depth of eight (8) inches and inspected by Geo-Exeta Laboratories, then recompacted and tested to insure firm foundation soil and a bonding with fill material. Natural soils are composed of brown clayey fine to coarse sand. The foregoing does not guarantee that weak soil or geologic conditions do not exist below the cleared and scarified surface. The material utilized as fill is non-expansive and is classified as tan silty fine to coarse sand (imported from other sources). The fill was placed in eight (8) inch layers, watered to approximate Optimum Moisture, and compacted to the specified relative compaction of 9056 by means of a vibratory sheepsfoot roller. Page 2 of 3 LISA ENTERPRISES, INC. GEO-EXETA LABORATORIES JOB NUMBER C-692-71 Procedure (Cont'd) Tests were taken every one (l) foot in vertical height of the fill placed to insure complete control of grading operations. Compaction Standard A.S.T.M. D 1557-66T, using a ten pound hammer having the free fall of 18 inches and applying 25 blows per layer on each of 3 equal layers of soil in a 1/3O cubic foot mold.
