Submit three sets of plans for commerciaVindustrial projects (two sets of plans for residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of two ways: 1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculationdreports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments. 2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320 Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire' Departments. Provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans stating that this project shall comply with the 2001 edition of the California Building Code (Title 24), which adopts the 1997 UBC, 2000 UMC, 2000 UPC and the 1999 NEC. 0 STRUCTURAL 3. The basic Pian 2 design (based on the approved plans furnished by the city) showed the loft in-fill as an option. Evidence must be submitted to show that this option was chosen during construction at that this house (1217 Belleflower) was built with those options. Of particular concern: a) The new TJl's must be supported by beams (as shown on sheet 550.36.88 of the approved plans) rather that the rim joists shown on sheet 550.36.28. b) The special drag straps, etc. shown on sheet 550.36.8B must have been installed. The "new" plans only show one such strap. c) The footing load shown on sheet 550.36.88 (2.7 k) should have been considered in the original design, but sheet PT2 (city records show that this lot was constructed with a post-tensioned concrete slab-on-grade system) only shows that the foundation system was designed for 2.0 k, so a discrepancy exists. 4.
