I am requesting an additional extension of time, to complete the remaining work, on this permit. We acquired a 6-Month extension at the end of July 2004, with every intention of completing the work on this permit in the time frame the extension provided. My Father became ill and taking care of him, took all of my time. I was not able to complete the work, then on November 4 1my Father passed away. Since then my Family's affairs has taken all of my time. Now, getting through the Holiday's and completing these issues will take me through January. If the City of Carlsbad can grant me this extension, I can guaranty that our project will be complete in that time frame. If there is a fee that is necessary for me to pay, please send me a bill. Where is the bottom of the stairs? Why are there two landing? Is the cantilevered landing the top of the stairs? If so, where is the bottom of the stairs? 7. Provide stairway and landing details. Sections 1003.3.3. Maximum rise is 7" and minimum run is 11". When the stairs serves less than 10 occupants, or serves an unoccupied roof, rise may be 8" maximum and run 9" minimum. Handrails (Section 1003.3.3.6): Handrails and extensions shall be 34" to 38" above nosing of treads and be continuous. The handgrip portion of all handrails shall be not less than 1-1/4 inches nor more than 2 inches in cross-sectional dimension. Handrails projecting from walls shall have at least 1-1/2 inches between the wall and the handrail.
