A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. observed on site soil and footing conditions. Soil conditions in the trench
are generally free of loose soil and debris, non-yielding and uniform, and plumb; and are in general
conformance with those Indicated in the geotechnical report.
A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. observed and reviewed footing excavation depth/width. Footing
excavations generally extend to proper depth and bearing strata, and are in general conformance with
recommendations of the geotechnical report.
A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. reviewed footing setbacks from slope face (If applicable). The setback was
in general accordance with the recommendations of the geotechnical report.
ADVISED CONTRACTOR TO REMOVE NON-BEARING MATERIAL[MUDJ FROM INTERIOR BEAM
AND SEWER LINE TRENCH. MAY BE REPLACED WITH CONCRETE OR SUITABLE SOIL.
NOTES TO SUPERINTENDENT/FOREMAN
1. Footing excavations should be cleaned of loose debris and thoroughly moistened just prior to placing concrete.
2. Based on expansion potential of undertying soils, presoaking of soil below slabs may be recommended. Consult the
geotechnical report for presoaking recommendations. We note that clayey soils may take an extended period time for
such, and the contractor should schedule accordingly.
3. In the event of a site change subsequent to our footing observation and prior to concrete placement (Le. heavy rain, etc.),
we shollct be contacted to perform additional slte observations and/or testing.
4. This memo does not confirm the minimum footing dimension as required by the project structural engineer's design, if
different from the geotechnical report.
NOTES TO BUILDING INSPECTOR
Soil compaction test results, as well as depth of fill, retative compaction, bearing values, corrosivity, and soil expansion index test results are
contained in the As~Graded Geotechnical or Final Compaction Report provided at the completion of grading.

A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. observed onsite soil and footing trench conditions. Soil conditions
in the trench are generally free of loose soil and debris, non-yielding and uniform, and plumb; and
are in general conformance with those indicated in the geotechnical report.
A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. observed and reviewed footing excavation depth/width. Footing
excavations generally extend to proper depth and bearing strata, and are in general conformance
with recommendations of ,the geotechnical report.
A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. reviewed footing setbacks from slope face (if applicable). The
setback was in general accordance with the recommendations of the geotechnical report.
Notes to Superintendent/Foreman
1. Footing excavations should be cleaned of loose debris and thoroughly moistened just prior to placing concrete.
2. Based on expansion potential of underlying soils, presoaking of soil below slabs may be recommended. Consult
the geotechnical report for presoaking recommendations. We note that clayey soils may take an extended
period of time for such, and the contractor should schedule accordingly.
3. In the event of a site change subsequent to our footing observation and prior to concrete placement (i.e., heavy
rain, etc.), we should be contacted to perform additional site observations and/or testing.
4. This memo does not confirm the minimum footing dimension as required by the project structural engineer's
design, if different from the geotechnical report.
Notes to Building Inspector
Soil compaction test results, as well as depth of fill, relative compaction, bearing values, corrosivity, and soil expansion
index test results are contained in the As-Graded Geotechnical or Final Compaction Report provided at the completion
of grading.

3. Prior to obtaining occupancy of the last unit the landscape architect of work shall
review/inspect the project including all areas surrounding each phase and submit the
"Certification of Completion" form as available through the City ( city form P25-
D). Also provide an irrigation schedule as required by the city water ordinance as
follows:
I) An irrigation watering schedule shall be prepared by the professional of record for
all landscape projects subject to the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance. The
schedule shall be submitted to the City prior to granting a permit of occupancy
and shall include the following information:
a) A description of the automatic irrigation system that will be used for the
project.
b) The ETo data relied on to develop the irrigation schedule, including the
source of the data.
c) The time period when overhead irrigation will be scheduled and confirm
that no overhead irrigation shall be used between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
d) The parameters used for setting the irrigation system controller for
watering times for:
1. The plant establishment period
ii. Established landscaping
iii. Temporarily irrigated areas
iv. Different seasons during the year

The contractor is to call Bruce Dugmore at (760) 436-7327 for a follow-up review when the
above items are completed.
Prior to security release the landscape architect of work shall review/inspect the
project and provide a certification letter for release of securities ( city form P25-
E), and the following:
1) The security release letter shall certify that he or she has inspected the work
and that the project complies with the following conditions:
a) Has been maintained in substantial conformance to the approved plans.
b) Is growing in a healthy and thriving condition.
c) All plantings required under Section 7 of the Landscape Manual have been
established as an effective surface erosion control.
d) There is no evidence of excessive run off from the irrigation system
causing a soil erosion problem.
IF THERE ARE NO GRADING BONDS IN PLACE, THE IRRIGATION SCHEDULES,
AS-BUILT PLANS, WATER AUDIT, COMPLETED HYDROZONE DIAGRAM AND
THE CERTIFICATION LETTER FOR RELEASE OF SECURITIES WILL BE
REQUIRED PRIOR TO OCCUPANCY OF THE LAST UNIT.
