1. Footing excavations should be cleaned of loose debris and thoroughly moistened just prior to placing concrete.
2. Based on expansion potential of underlying soils, presoaking of soil below slabs may be recommended. Consult the
geotechnical report for presoaking recommendations. We note that clayey soils may take an extended period time for
such, and the contractor should schedule accordingly.
3. In the event of a site change subsequent to our footing observation and prior to concrete placement (i.e. heavy rain, etc.),
we should be contacted to perfonn additional site observations and/or testing.
4. This memo does not confirm the minimum footing dimension as required by the project structural engineer's design, if
different from the geotechnlcal report.

1) Arrive on site by 7:00am as requested to observe the placing of concrete.
2) Observe & verify the delivery and placing of 270 cubic yards of 4500psi 1" hard rock concrete for the construction of 3 single family
home sites, post tension, slab on grade construction. Concrete was supplied by Robertsons, mix design #54041, placed by CPI Concrete
Pumping, 42 meter pump. Thickened edge slab area was coneolldated with mechanical vibration, hand screed and finished by Green
Bee. Permit# lot 3 CBRA2018-0052, lot 4 CBRA2018-0053, lot 5 CBRA2018-0054.
4) Sampling of concrete performed, (2) sets of 5 each, cylinders were cast for compressive strength testing.
5) lnspect#4 A615 grade 60 reinforcing steel bars and A416 grade 270, 1/2" diameter, 7 strand, low relaxation cables placed as a fully
encapsulated post tensioning system for the construction of 2 single family home sites. Plan details sheets PTD and PTD-4. Permit # Jot
10 plan style 1A CBRA2018-0058. lot 11 plan style 1CR #CBRA2018-0059.
To the best of my knowledge the work observed was in general compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and applicable
provisions of the California Building Code.

FOOTINGS ARE EXCAVATED INTO SUITABLE BEARING SOIL.
WE OBSERVED SEWER CONNECTION TRENCHES WHERE THEY CROSS THE FOOTING EXCAVATION IN A LOOSE
AND UNCOMPACTED STATE. CONTRACTOR MAY RECTIFY BY:
1. COMPACTING THE SOIL
2. REMOVING LOOSE SOIL AND PLACING ADDITIONAL CONCRETE [ WRAP PIPE TO PREVENT DIRECT CONTACT]
3. IF UNABLE TO PERFORM # 10R 2
ADD ADDITIONAL REBAR TEN FEET TO
EACH SIDE OF SEWER PIPE.
AREA OF UNCOMPACTED SOIL IN FOOTING EXCAVATION
ON ALL LOTS.
