are generaDy free of loose soil and debris, non-yielding and uniform, and plumb; and are in general
confonnance wilh those Indicated In lhe geotechnical n,port.
A representative of GeoSoils, Inc. observed and reviewed footing excavation depth/width. Footing
excavations generaUy extend to proper depth and bearing strata, and are In general conformance with
recommendations of the geotechnlcal report.
A n,pn,sentatlve of GeoSolls. Inc. reviewed footing setbacks from slope face (if applicable). The setback was
in general accordance with the recommendations of the geoteehnical report.

NOTES TO SUPERINTENDENT/FOREMAN
1. Footing excavations should be cleaned of loose debris and thoroughly moistened just prior to placing concrete.
2. Based on expansion potential of underlying soils, presoaking of soil below slabs may be recommended. Consult the
geotechnical n,port for pn,soaklng recommendations. We note !hat clayey soils may take an extended period time for
such, and the contractor should schedule_ accordingly.
3. In the event of a site change subsequent to our footing observatioh and prior to concrete placement (i.e. heavy rain, etc.),
we should be contacted to perform additional site observations and/or testing.
4. This memo does not confirm the minimum footing dimension as required by the project structural engineer's design, if
different from the geotechnical report.

1) Arrive on site by 7:00am as requested to observe the placing of concrete.
2) Observe & verify the delivery and placing of 270 cubic yards of 4500psi 1" hard rock concrete for the construction of 3 single family
home sites, post tension, slab on grade construction. Concrete was supplied by Robertsons, mix design #54041, placed by CPI Concrete
Pumping, 42 meter pump. Thickened edge slab area was consolidated with mechanical vibration, hand screed and finished by Green
Bee. Permit# lot 3 CBRA2018-0052, lot 4 CBRA2018-0053, lot 5 CBRA2018-0054.
4) Sampling of concrete performed, (2) sets of 5 each, cylinders were cast for compressive strength testing.
5) Inspect #4 A615 grade 60 reinforcing steel bars and A416 grade 270, 1/2" diameter, 7 strand, low relaxation cables placed as a fully
encapsulated post tensioning system for the construction of 2 single family home sites. Plan details sheets PTO and PTD-4. Permit # lot
10 plan style 1A CBRA2018-0058. lot 11 plan style 1CR #CBRA2018-0059.
To the best of my knowledge the work observed was in general compliance with the approved plans, specifications, and applicable
provisions of the Calttomla Building Code.
