Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-
2700. The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning,
Engineering and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all
remaining sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of Carlsbad Building
Department for routing to their Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments.
NOTE: Plans that are submitted directly to EsGil Corporation only will not be reviewed by the City
Planning, Engineering and Fire Departments until review by EsGil Corporation is complete.

5. Sheet N1says that this is an AC System. This is not an AC system. Please remove title
language and the quote from 690.2, 690.3 and 690.6 from sheet N1. Your response,
"This is an AC System not DC (N1 noted appropriately)." Excellent. Please provide the
listing for the AC modules referred to on N1.
You are implying in your construction documents that you are using AC modules
in the system. You are not. Please correct your construction documents to
accurately reflect the system submitted.

3. Sheet A1 & E1: It appears that there is already a PV system installed on the roof. Please
identify the system on the plans, the rating of the inverter, and the rating of the
overcurrent device protecting the system. There may be additional comments regarding
this system after the existing system is identified.
4. Sheet E2: Provide a grounding electrode system per CEC250.50 and grounding
electrode conductor sized per Table 250.66, minimum #8 copper, at the structure on
which the PV System and/or inverter is installed. See CEC 690.47. The grounding
electrode conductor shall be without a splice. CEC 250.64 (C).
5. Sheet N1 says that this is an AC System. This is not an AC system. Please remove title
language and the quote from 690.2, 690.3 and 690.6 from sheet N1.
6. Provide the following note on the plans, "A permanent warning label shall be applied to
the distribution equipment with the following or equivalent marking: "WARNING -
INVERTER OUTPUT CONNECTION -DO NOT RELOCATE THIS OVERCURRENT
DEVICE" " CEC 690.64(B)(7).
7. Provide the following note on the plans and show the location of the PV system
disconnects in the panel, "The PV connection in the panel board shall be positioned at
the opposite (load) end from the input feeder location or main circuit location." CEC
690.64(B)(7).
8. To speed up the review process, note on this list (or a copy) where each correction item
has been addressed, i.e., plan sheet, note or detail number, calculation page, etc.
