As stated on page 18 of the report, "Organic corrosives that are compatible with flammable solvents will be handled through a steel hood system served by a carbon bed air treatment system." According to Air Products, the hood serving the organic corrosives that are compatible with flammable solvents is being constructed in two sections, under two different permits: Permit #13-2095: Includes the ducting under the roof and will serve the lab hoOds and other equipment. This ducting will be composed of galvanized steel with a PVS coating on the interior. Permit #13-2186: Includes the ducting above the roof and in the equipment yard, connecting to the carbon bed air scrubber. This ducting will be composed of 304 stainless steel. Both portions of the hood are constructed of steel, which is consistent with our report and both materials are compatible with the materials being exhausted, except for minor wearing of the duct, standard with all fume hoods.
