Re. ......... _.s MODEL75 &JSB GENRALDESCRIPTItN The Modulami Model 75. Temperature Monitoring Sjstem is designed to constantly monitor temperature and will provide aldib1e visual and remote notification whenever refrigeration failure occurs. The basic àperation of the Model 75 is described as foriows:. Through the use of an electronic temperature probe the ambienttemperature of a walk-in cooler or freezer or other temperature sensitive environment is constantly monitored. When the monitored temperature goes above or bIbV the temperature selpoinis an electronic time delay circuit is activated. The purpose of the time delay is to override defrost cycles and other short term changes in temperature that occur during normal operation. When temperature in the monitored area exceeds the setpoints beyond the length of the time delay the alarm activates, providing audible, visual and, if. so connected, remote notification that an alarm condition has occurred.. (NOTE 1): The Model* 75. offers Battery Backup as an option. (75B) When so ordered, the model 75B will also annunciate any power failures which may occur. (NOTE 2): The Model 75 offers Thermostatic Control (750) as an option. When so ordered, the Model 75C will provide electronic temperature cántrol. -1- TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS age MODULARM CORPORATION CONtROLS. Flush Mount - Make a cutout in the mounting surface, 9 3/811 high x 43/8" wide. Use the four mounting holes 'on the front flange of the enclosure. 3) Run the probe into the monitored compartment and locate the sensor In a spot which will typify the average ambient temperature. Recommended location Is in front of the blower on the ceiling in the center of the room. Make sure that the sensor and sensor wire Is positioned so that It will not be damaged by any products or items in the monitored, area. Fasten the probe with the provided 3/8" clamp. (NOTE: If desired, the sensor wire can be lengthened hundreds of feet using ordinary thermostat wire without affecting accuracy of the displayed temperature. it can be shortened as well, if this is neoessar)& proper polarity must be observed when reconnecting probes i.e:, white to white & black to black. If a splice is made in the monitored compartment, seal with silicone to prevent moisture from causing dryoneous temperature readings. Also, if probe is extended into monitored compartment through back wall of alarm, seal opening to prevent moisture from entering alarm. SPECIAL NOTE: DO NOT RUN SENSOR IJNE'FOR EXTENDED DISTANCES IN CONDUIT WITH HIGH VOLTAGE OR 'BOUNCING" OR ERRONEOUS READINGS WILL RESULT1) -2- TEMPERATURE MONITORING SYSTEMS I dI I. 1. ANTHONY INTERNATIONAL Instructions TITLE: Installation Manual DOC ID: IM-0002A MODEL: 101B, 2 lOX, ELM & E2 Doors INCEPTION: 1/27/2006 1O1X Frame Installing the Frame Assembly into the Net Opening Read instructions completely before installing frame. The clearance between the frame sill and the bottom of the case or floor is mandated by local building codes. The sill of the net opening must be a minimum of two (2) inches in height. The sill must also be completely level. Before installing the frame, confirm that the size of the net opening accommodates the finished frame. If the tolerances are too tight, the net opening will have to be enlarged. Measure the size of the net opening and the size of the finished frame. Subtract the frame height measurement, from the net opening's height measurement. Subtract the frame width measurement, from the net opening's width measurement. Divide each number in half. This is the amount of gap that will occur between the frame and the net opening. If there is a gap greater than 1/16 of an inch between the frame and the net-opening, than shim the gap. Shimming Acquire sturdy, penetrable material, such as plywood. The thickness of the material should be wedge shaped or slightly less than the gap to be filled. Measure the length of the gap (height or width of frame) and cut the shim material to 16 of an inch less than the measured length. Install the shim using the same type of mounting hardware that will be used to install the frame. Be certain that the shim installation hardware will not interfere with the frame installation hardware. If necessary, cut a second shim to the same length and install it in the opposite side of the net opening. If the adjacent sides of the net opening need to be shimmed, repeat the previous steps, matching the shim length to the frame sides of the net opening (less 1/16 of an inch). Installing the Frame Confirm the net-opening conforms to openings listed in price book or original order. Insert the finished frame assembly into the net opening. If the fit is too tight, DO NOT force the frame. Insert a mounting screw into a mounting hole in each corner of the frame and tighten each screw until it is approximately a quarter inch from flush. Check and confirm that the frame is square. Using a 10 foot measuring tape, measure diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner, noting the distance. Measure the distance between the remaining two corners. Both measurements should be the same, within a 1/16 of an inch difference. 2/2/06 Doc ID: IM-0002A I of 4 7 CAULKING- REAR VIEW SEALFRAIIETOWALLMOUNTFROM REAR PLUMB SQUARE VERTicALLY MEASURE FROM CORRECT MOUNT cORIlERTOcORRER X_ CASE STRUCTURE FRAME FRAME HEADS CAULKNG OURS CASE FRAME REAR IFRONT CROSS SECTION 4& ANTHONY INTERNATIONAL Instructions Installing the Frame (continued) Confirm that the frame and frame flanges are plumb to the surface of the wall around the net opening. Place a level on the top flange of the header frame to check header level. If the top of the frame (Header Frame) is sagging or bowing, correct as necessary. When the frame is square and plumb, tighten all mounting screws securely until each is flush to the surface of the frame. NOTE: DO NOT over-tighten the screws, as this can cause the frame to become less square. Check entire frame to ensure installation is correct. Seal the gap between the frame and the sur- rounding wall, inside the case, cooler or freezer using a caulking gun and food grade silicone sealant. Frame Electrical Wiring Connections The Seven individual wires that extend from the flexible conduit on top of the frame, provide elec- trical power to various frame and door functions. Refer to the wiring connection diagram label located on the frame header. Using wire connectors, these wires should be grouped by the Hot wires (or Circuit wires), the Neutral wires and the Ground wire for connection to either the facility or the case power. Blue/White, Red and Black wires connect to supplied Hot (or Circuit) wire. White/Blue, White/Red and White/Black wires connect to supplied wire. Green/Yellow wire connects to the sup- plied ground wire. NOTE: Install the Torquemaster into the bottom ofsiliframe and the hold open hardware into the header frame, ifrequired. MIMASTER-BILT ® TM Refrigeration Solutions Installation of the Glass Sentry LI Anti-Sweat Control The Glass Sentry II from Master-Bilt is an anti-sweat control designed to save energy by staging the Glass Merchandising Door Frame heaters off when door heat is not necessary. A sensor is mounted on the customer side of the Glass Door Merchandiser that is used to modulate the door and frame heaters as needed. 1. Begin by mounting the "Body" of the Glass Sentry II to the roof of the walk-in freezer or a location that will be free from product "stacking" and other items that may damage the control. 2. Drill a 14fl hole up through the soffit to access the area above the walk-in where the body is mounted. 3. Run the sensor wires up through this hole. 4. Mount the sensor in this location by using the double-stick tape that comes on the sensor and a small screw through the sensor mounting hole. Mounting the sensor in this manner will provide a clean look and provide the best monitoring results. 5. Wire the sensor into the body and wire the body into a power supply.
