It is recommended that the following special design and precautions be taken for the houses to
be constructed on the above lok:
Type A Lok
1. Avoid the use of isolated interior piers. Use continuous footings throughout,
and place these at a minimum depth of two feet below the lowest adjocent
exterior final ground surface.
2. Reinforce and interconnect continuously with steel bars all interior and
exterior footings with one $5 bor at 3 inches above the bottom of the footings
and one #5 bar placed 1 1/2 inches below the top of the stems of the footings.
3. Exercise every effort to assure that the soil under the foundations ond slobs has
o uniform moisture content, 1 percent to 3 percent greater than optimum through-
out the top 3 feet below finished grade at the time of placing foundations and
slabs.

Use raised wooden floors that span between continuous footings, or use all
concrete slabs with 6 x 6 - 10/10 welded wire fabric and provide a minimum
of 4 inches of clean sand beneath all concrete slabs. A rnoistura barrier
should be provided in the sand layer 2 inches below slabs under living areas,
Separate garage slabs from perimeter footings by o 1/2 inch thicknes of con-
struction felt or equivalent, to allow independent movement of garage slabs
relative to perimeter Footings. Atsure complete seporation by extending the
felt over the full depth of the front thickened edge of the garoge slab. Also,
cut off the garoge door stops at least 1/2 inch above the slab.

6. Provide positive drainage away from all perimeter foofings to a horizontal
distance of at least 6 feet outside the house walls.
Type B Lob
Those lok listed as Type B lob should follow all the above-listed recommendations with the twa
following exceptions:
1. The continuous footings may be placed at a mlnlmum depth of 18 inches below
the lowest odjacent exterior final ground surface rather than the two feet
recommended for Type A lots.
2. Single #4 ban placed as directed (above) near tops and bottom of all interior
and exterior footings may ba substituted for the #5 has recommendad for
Type A lots.
Recommendations 3 to 6, inclusive, as listed for Type A lok, ore also applicable to the Type
B lots.
Only nonexpansive soil conditions were observed in the upper three feet on the Type C lots ond
therefore specially designed footings and slats will not be required on th- fob.

The application must be signed by the owner (or his authorized representative) of the property
to be served. The total charges must be paid to the District at the time the application is
submitted:
If a service lateral is required, it will be installed by the Leucadia County Water District.
The service lateral is that part of the sewer system that extends from the main collection line
in the street (or easement) to the point in the street (at or near the applicant's property line)
where the service lateral is connected to the applicant's building sewer.
The applicant is responsible for the construction, at the applicant's expense, of the sewer
pipeline (building sewer) from the applicant's plumbing to the point in the street (or easement)
where a connection is made to the service lateral.
The connection of the applicant's building sewer to the service lateral shall be made by the
applicant at his expense. The connection must be made in conformity with the District's
specifications, rules and regulations; andAmmt be insuected and auurQvCm
before the sewer system may be used by the applicant. The applicant, or his authorized rep-
resentative, must notify the District at the time inspection is desired. Any connection made
to the service lateral or collection line without prior approval and inspection by the District
will be considered invalid and will not Le acknowledged.
After connection is complete, the property.described above is subject to a monthly sewer serv-
ice charge. The rate will be governed by the use of the property - residential, commercial, or
multiple dwelling. Non-payment of the sewer service 'charge is subject to a 5% penalty per
month, plus disconnection if necessary.
