residential projects). For expeditious processing, corrected sets can be submitted in one of

1. Deliver all corrected sets of plans and calculations/reports directly to the City of
Carlsbad Building Department, 1635 Faraday Ave., Carlsbad, CA 92008, (760) 602-2700.
The City will route the plans to EsGil Corporation and the Carlsbad Planning, Engineering
and Fire Departments.
2. Bring one corrected set of plans and calculations/reports to EsGil Corporation, 9320
Chesapeake Drive, Suite 208, San Diego, CA 92123, (858) 560-1468. Deliver all

required a gravity drainage system per section 709 of the Plumbing code. Per
conversation with the City of Carlsbad if necessary the industrial waste may be
collected and pumped but the sanitary waste must be maintained on the gravity
drainage system.

2. Provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans stating that this project shall
comply with the 2001 editions of the California Building/Plumbing/Mechanical
Codes and the 2004 edition of the California Electrical Code, which adopt the
1997 UBC, 2000 UMC, 2000 UPC and the 2002 NEC.
3. Please provide on the-plans the manufacturer's name, listing and model # of the
sump tanks and pump systems.
4. Please revise the plans to show the waste lines from the ejectors to comply with
section 710.4 of the plumbing code. Show an accessible backwater or swing
check valve and a gate valve.
5. Please provide evidence the City of Carlsbad will permit the sump system and
not required a gravity drainage system per section 709 of the Plumbing code.
6. Please provide an electrical plan showing the panel locations feeding the new
pumps. Please panel schedule showing the circuits feeding the new pumps.
7. Please note on the plans "AC Cable is not allowed in A, B, E, H, and I
occupancies. NM cable is restricted (without City approval) to one and two
family dwellings. Note on plans that an equipment ground conductor is to be
installed in all flexible conduits".

Pursuant to Paragraph 8.6 Alterations and Additions, to that certain Standard Jndustrial
Lease which you executed with H.G. Fenton Company for the premises located at 2840
Loket Ave, dated August 21, 2000, you are required to obtain the O-.vner~s prior written
approval before commencing alterations at the Premises.
Owner has reviewed the request submitted to H.G. Fenton Company on August 24, 2006.
Tenant submitted to Owner a copy of the submitted plans for pennit and understands that
the existing gravity drain waste system is being modified 'With the addition of sump
systems to comply with the Encinas Water authority. Owner also understands that
provisions have been made to by-pass this alteration in the future if requirements from
the Encinas Water Authority change.
Owner understands that to return waste system to existing c.ondition upon tenants
departure, sump tanks (2) and clarifier will need to be r.emoved.
Owner further ·advises Seltzer Chemical that, per paragraph 8.6, all costs for removal of
the proposed alteration at the end ofthe term, or at move-out, whichever sba11 occur later,
shall befue.responsibility of the tenant, \lpon Owners written request.

Pursuant to Paragraph 8.6 Alterations and Additions, to that certain Standard
Industrial Lease which you executed with H.G. Fenton Company for the premises located
at 2840 Loker Ave., dated August 21, 2000, you are required to obtain the Owner's prior
written approval before commencing alterations at the Premises.

copy of which is attached hereto, and hereby approves the same. This approval, however,
