hereby acknowledged, Suburban Gas Service, Inc., a California
corporation, hereby gives and grants unto Carlsbad Mutual Water
Company, a California corporation, an Easement and right of way
for installation and maintenance of pipe lines for the conveyance
of water in and along a trench located within the Southeasterly
10 feet of that portion of Lot 18 of Seaside Lands, in the
County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof
No, 1722, filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, July 28, 1921 and of that portion of the "State Highway"
as shown on said Map No, 1722, adjoining said Lot 18 on the
Northeast, now vacated and closed to public use, lying North-
westerly of a line drawn= parallel with and distant 18? feet
Northwesterly, measured at right angles, from the dividing line
between Lots 17 and 18 of said Seaside Lands, and lying North-
easterly of the Easterly line of the California State Highway as
said Highway is described in deed to the State of California,
recorded August 20, 193^+ in Book 3I6, page 309 of Official Rec-
ords,^ together with the right to enter upon said strip of land,
in a prudent and careful manner to lay said lines and to repair,
replace and remove the same when necessary, upon condition that
said pipe lines shall be laid beneath the surface of the ground
and said trench shall be filled except during the course of the
laying, repairing or removal of said lines.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Suburban Gas Service, Inc., has
hereunto caused its corporate name to be subscribed and its cor-
porate seal to be affixed by its proper officers thereunto duly
authorized the 12th day of April, 195^.

EXCERPT FROM MINUTES
I hereby certify that I am the duly appointed, qual-
ified and acting secretary of the Suburban Gas Service, Inc., a
California corporation, and that at a duly called and regularly
held meeting of the Board of Directors thereof on the 26th day
kprtl^, 1954, the following resolution was duly and regularly
passed and adopted:
'WHEREAS, it appears that the Carlsbad Mutual Water
Company, a California corporation, has heretofore used
a pipeline for the transportation of water across cer-
tain real property of this corporation and desires to
abandon the same and quitclaim said real property to
this corporation, in consideration of the execution by
this corporation of an easement to said Carlsbad Mutual
Water Company granting to it the right to install and
maintain a pipe line or pipe lines for the trans-
portion of water across another portion of said real
property;
"NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that it is to the advan-
tage and best interests of this corporation to grant
I said last mentioned easement, the same to be evidenced

J by an instrument in writing dated April 12, 195^* and
the president or vice president and secretary of this
corporation are hereby authorized and directed to exe-
cute for and on behalf of and in the name of this
corporation the above mentioned easement in favor of said
Carlsbad Mutual Water Company, affecting the strip of
land particularly described as follows, to-wit:
The Southeasterly 10 feet of that portion of Lot I8 of
Seaside Lands, in the County of San Diego, State of
California, according to Map thereof No. 1722, filed
in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego
County, July 28, 1921 and of that portion of the "State
Highway" as shown on said Map No. 1722, adjoining said
Lot 18 on the Northeast, now vacated and closed to

public use, lying Northwesterly of a line drawn par-
allel with and distant I83 feet Northwesterly, measured
at right angles, from the dividing line between Lots

Califomia, recorded August 20, 1934 in Book 316,
page 309 of Official Records."
I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true and
correct copy of a resolution duly and regularly passed and adopted
by the Board of Directors of said coiporation at the above men-
tioned meeting duly and regularly held on the first above mentioned
date as aforesaid.
