Pursuant to Government Code Sections 38773 and 38773.1 and Carlsbad Municipal Code Section
6.16.040 governing the abatement of a nuisance, the City of Carlsbad did on October 26, 2015 to
present abate a nuisance upon the real property hereafter described, and then on March 8, 2016 and
February 28, 2017, did assess the cost of the abatement upon the real property {with interest presently
accruing). The City of Carlsbad claims a lien on the real property for the expense of the abatement and
the related administrative costs in the amount of $12,310.93. This amount shall be a lien against the real
property until it is paid and discharged of record. The real property referred to above, and upon which
special assessment is claimed is that certain parcel of land situated within the City of Carlsbad, County
of San Diego, State of California, more particularly described as LOT 3, OF LA COSTA-SOUTH, UNIT NO. 1,
ACCORDING TO MAP NO. 6117, FILED IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER, JUNE 3, 1968; APN
216-160-03-00.
