$2NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Resolution No. 1430,
the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad did on the 5th day of
September, 1967, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P. M., publicly open,
examine and declare all bids or proposals which were presented for
the doing of certain work and improvements described in Resolution
No. 1398, adopted by said City Council on the 18th day of April,
1967. That on the 19th day of September, 1967, the City Clerk of
the City of Carlsbad reported the result of all bids received to
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad.
For a full and complete description of said work and for the
grades at which said work shall be done, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution No. 1398 and to plans (which include profiles
and detailed drawings for said work) which are designated "Plan for
Sewerage System in Garfield Street, Date Avenue, Olive Avenue and
Sewer Easement, Assessment District No. 1-1966", Project No. 6-9,
18 Drawing No. 149-5, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the
City of Carlsbad in the City Hall in said city, and to specificatio
for said work which are designated "Contract Documents and Specifi-
cations, No. 1-1966 in Garfield Street, Date Avenue, Olive Avenue
and Sewer Easement", also on file in the office of said City Clerk.
p-2* Said City Council has determined and declared that the public
interest and convenience requires said work, and that said work is,
in the opinion of said Council, of more than local or ordinary
26 public benefit, and said City Council has made the expense of said
P7 work chargeable upon a district, which district said City Council
pa has declared to be the district benefited by said work and to be
29 assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof. For the particular
description of said assessment district, reference is hereby made
to said Resolution No. 1398.

Said City Council has determined and declared that serial bonds
bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum, shall
be issued to represent each assessment of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or
over remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days after the date of recor-
dation of the warrant, that said serial bonds shall extend for a
period ending nine (9) years from the 2nd day of January next suc-
ceeding the next September 1st following their date and that said
bonds shall be issued under the Improvement Act of 191.1, Division 7
of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, pursu-
ant to Section 6464 of said code, the City Council has elected and
determined that the redemption provisions of said bonds shall provid
for a premium of five per cent (5%) of the un">.at'ured- principal/of saic
bonds, to be paid as provided in said Section 6464.
1- The proceedings therefore are under, and all of the aforesaid
work shall be done under and in pursuance of said Improvement Act of
1911. Reference is hereby made to said Resolution No. 1398 for

18 NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that said City Council by Resolutio^i
1 Q No. 1434, adopted September 19, 1967, determined the bid of R. M.
VUKANOVICH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, Alhambra, California, to be the
21 lowest regular bid of any responsible bidder for said work and
awarded the contract for said work to the above named bidder at the
prices named in the bid of said bidder. Said bid is on file in said
office of said City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad.
