NOTICE OF AWARD OF CONTRACT
IN PROPOSED ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
Pursuant to the requirements of Section 5248 of the Streets and Highway
Code, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a contract has been awarded by the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, to SIM J. HARRIS CO. , a
California corporation, for construction of street improvements, including
appurtenances and appurtenant work in connection therewith in Harding Street,
Oak Avenue, Pine Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Palm Avenue, Magnolia Avenue,
Grand Avenue, Elm Avenue, Madison Street and easement as set forth on
Construction Plans entitled "Project No. 2-2, Drawing No. 134-3" Assessment
District No. 2-1962, and relating to the real property described on a plat or
map filed with the Clerk of the said City Council of the City of Carlsbad, which
indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory included in the Assessmenl
District, and which said map shall govern for all details as to the extent of the
Assessment District.
This shall constitute notice to all persons that all property within the
boundaries of the proposed Assessment District shall be assessed at the time of
the confirmation of the assessment under Chapter 16 (commencing with Section
5360) of Part III of this Division, to pay the costs of the improvement in propor-
tion to the benefit which said property receives from the improvement, notwith-
standing the acquisition of any such property by the State or any of its agencies,
or by any County, City, municipality or other public or municipal corporation.
Reference is made to the Minutes of the action taken by the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on file in my office for full particulars.
