The cOntractor shall assure adequate irrigation coverage is afforded to the slope revegetation areas for watering of the container plants and germination of the seeded areas. All existing irrigation components/improvements outside of the designated remedial work areas shall remain and be protected. All components shall.be tested for proper operation and repaired as necessary. 8. Proper sequencing and scheduling of the revegetation irrigation controller circuits shall be coordinated between the installation contractor and the onsite maintenance contractor. to provide sufficient water to the . revegetation areas for adequate plant establishment. This includes adequate watering after hydroseeding to promote germination and to keep the areas adequately moist. 19. The contractor shall schedule all inspections/observations of the irrigation system installation a minimum of 48 hours in advance, with the Client, Client deSignated landscape architect/revegetation monitor, and City of Carlsbad inspectors (as required). to verify acceptable installation per the plans and conformance with applicable standards. Major milestone inspections/observations may include the following visits: • Irrigation coverage check (automatic operation). prior to planting. • Verification of acceptable plant material at time of delivery. • Verification of field layout of container plantings. per plans. , Verilication of hydroseeding. correct species and slurry mix components. • Verification of erosion control matting installation. • Pre-final observation (prior\o start of the 90 day maintenance period). • Final approval observation (at end of 90-day maintenance period). 11. The contractor shall maintain the plantings for a period of 90 days following approval of the installation. , During this time all dead container plants shall be replaced using the same species as shown on the plant legend/plan.
