2 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT,
3 ALLOCATING CTBID GRANT FUNDING FOR 2014-15

^ WHEREAS, on March 18,2008, the Board the Carlsbad Tourism Business
g Improvement District (CTBID) established a grant program to fund programs and activities that
promote ovemight stays in Carlsbad; and
g WHEREAS, five organizations submitted applications for 2014-15 CTBID grant funds
^ in July 2014; and
WHEREAS, the VisitCarlsbad Board reviewed the applications and made funding
J -J recommendations to the CTBID Board for four of the organizations which were approved by the
j2 CTBID Board at prior meetings.
J 2 WHEREAS, two organizations submitted applications for 2014-15 CTBID grant funds
j4 in April 2015; and
J ^ WHEREAS, the VisitCarlsbad Board reviewed the applications for the Carlsbad Music
Jg Festival Free Village Music Walk and the Multiple Sclerosis Society Bike MS Event and is
recommending fimding for the Multiple Sclerosis Society Bike MS Event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors ofthe Carlsbad
I p Tourism Business Improvement District, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the CTBID Board hereby allocates funding in the amount of $0.00 to the
Carlsbad Music Festival Free Village Music Walk in accordance with the Grant
Guidelines.
3. That the CTBID Board hereby allocates funding in the amount of $10.000.tftahe
2^ Multiple Sclerosis Society Bike MS Event in accordance with Grant Guidelines.
