2 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT,
3 ELECTING ITS BOARD CHAIR

5 WHEREAS,The City Council of the City of Carlsbad adopted Ordinance No. NS-778
6 enacting Chapter 3.37 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code on November 15, 2005 thereby creating
7 the Carlsbad Tourism Business Improvement District (CTBID);
8 WHEREAS,at its July 30, 2014 meeting, the CTBID Board elected its Chair; and
9 WHEREAS,the elected Chair's term has expired,so a new Chair needs to be elected;
10 and
11 WHEREAS,the Board conducted an election of officers at its May 25, 2016 meeting.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
13 Golf Lodging Business Improvement District,as follows:
14 1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2.That the CTBID Board hereby elects Tim Stripe to serve
16 as Chair of the CTBID for a term of two-years.
