ARTHUR GENSLER JR. & ASSOCIATES, INC., UMSTOT PROJECT AND FACILITIES SOLUTIONS, BSE ENGINEERING, INC., KENNEDY/JENKS, INC., KEH & ASSOCIATES, INC. EXJHBJT 1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has reviewed the need for the utilization of consultant services on an ongoing, as-needed basis in order to maintain service levels; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department solicited, received, and reviewed Statements of Qualifications for professional services consistent with the Carlsbad Municipal Code section 3.28.060; and WHEREAS, subsequent to a review of the Statements of Qualifications, staff recommends the firms most qualified and providing the best value to the City of Carlsbad for the corresponding disciplines as follows: • Civi~ Engineering: Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc., Michael Baker International, Inc. • Traffic Engineering: Alta Planning & Design, STC Traffic, Inc. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 • Transportation Planning: LSA Associates, Inc., Fehr & Peers • Storm Water Engineering: Dudek, NVS, Inc., Rick Engineering Company • Wastewater Engineering: Kennedy/Jenks, Inc., KEH & Associates, Inc. • Structural Engineering: TTG Engineers, Dokken Engineering • Geotechnical Services: Ninyo & Moore, Southern California Soil & Testing, Inc. • Surveying: NVS, Inc., Psomas, Right-Of-Way Engineering Services, Inc. • Utility Locating/Potholing: Underground Solutions, Inc. • Real Property: Hendrickson Appraisal Company, Inc., Bender Rosenthal, Inc. • Environmental Planning/Studies: Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., Chambers Group, Inc., AECOM Technical Services, Inc. • Financial: Wildan Financial Services • Communications I Outreach: NVS, Inc., Caltrop Corporation, Southwest Strategies, LLC • Construction Management: Schneider CM, Inc., Harris & Associates, Inc. • Architecture/Bridging: Pacific Architecture and Engineering, Inc. • Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing: BSE Engineering, Inc., TTG Engineers • Solar Photovoltaic: The Engineering Partners, Inc., Alternative Energy Systems Consulting, Inc., • Interior Design: M. Arthur Gensler Jr. & Associates, Inc. • Last Planner: Umstot Project and Facilities Solutions WHEREAS, expenditures for these professional services are subject to availability of departmental budget appropriations and capital project funding. 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, 2 California, as follows: 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 2. That Agreements with the aforementioned firms, on file in the City Clerk's Office, are hereby approved. 3. That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Agreements as so stated on behalf of the City of Carlsbad.
