T.V3EG3A3, interviews were conducted ard a.n applicant chosen
who meets the qualifications and standards set by the CLty Council
and Police Chief Palkowski for appointment to the Car3_sba2r Police
Department; now
TFEREFORE, BE IT :G3LSOLVXi) that Szmsell G. Wolters be
employed as a Police Clfficer for tb city of Carlsbad. for a pro-
bationary period of six months, at % starting salary of $275.00 per
month, with an inc:-ease at the end of the probationamj period of
$12.50 per month, and Bn additional raise at the encl of ano+;her
six months of $12.50, to a rraxiimm of $300.00 per iflonth, 'ne to
provide all of his own equipment, uniform, leathn,r and guns, ex-
cept breast badge and head Badge, w'nieh will be provided by the
City; employment to begin Ockober 10, 1952, or as soon thereafter
as possible.
