WEBEAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Statutes of the 4th Extraordinary Session of 194ls, Chapter 47, as generally amended, more particularly amended by the Statutes of the 2nd Extraordinary Session of 1952, Chapter 34, the City of Carlsbad has been allocated the sum of Ten Thousand (~10,000.00) Dollars by the State Allocation Board for utilization for the purposes set forth in the above referenced Act; and WESEREAS, the above referenced Act provides that any money appro- priated by this Act for allocation for which application is not.made on or before June 30, 1953, shall revert to the General. Fund in the State Treasury; and. , WHEREAS, the Act contemplates that the local agency shall contribute a share of money exceeding the share which the State has appropriated; and WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, befng a newly incorporated city, in- corporated on the 16th day of July, 1952, does not possess the required funds to utilize the State's appropriation of funds; and WHEFBAS, the above referenced law authorizes a local agency to assign the money allocated to it thereunder, or any portion thereof, to any other local agency or governmental unlt or district in this State; and WHEREAS, the City of Caplsbad does not have existlng sufficient sewage disposal facilities and that the City requires additional sewage disposal facilitles; and WHEREAS, $t appears that the Carlsbad Sanitary District, a local agency within the purposes of the above referenced Act, has indicated that it can effectively utilize Six Thousand ($6,000,00) Dollars of the funds appropriated to the City of Carlsbad by the above referenced Act; NOW THEECEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, thzt the City Council of the Clty of Carlsbad does hereby assign Six Thousand (~6,0cr0.00) Dollars of the funds which have been allocated it pursuant to the provisions of the Statutes of the 4th Extraordinary Session of 1944, Chapter 47, as amended, to the Carlsbad Sanitary District for their sole use or for use by the Carlsbad Sanitary District acting in behalf' of the City of' Carlsbad, BE IT FIIFFHER BESOLVZD, that the City Clerk of the city of Carlsbad is hereby directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution to be filed with the Controller of the State of California, the State Director of Finance, the State Allocation Board, and the Carlsbacl Sanitary District.
