The City Council of the Clty of Carlsbsd does hereby resolve
that H. FI. aarter be and is hereby employed ss the Public Works
Director and Trsffic Engineer of the City of Carlsbad for a term
to cornmenee July I, 1953, and to terminate December 31, 1953.
It is further resolved that the szlary of ssid Public Vorks
Director and Traffic Engineer be ana the sane is hereby fixed at
Three Hundred Fifty ($350.00) Dollars per month, plus ten cents (LO$)
per mile for the use of his privately owned automobile in the per-
formance of his officia.1 duties.
It is further resolved thet the sa.id Public Works Director
and Traffic Zngineer shall -perform 8.11 duties delegated. to the Public
‘dorks Direztor and. Traffic Engineer in the ordinsnces of the City of
Carlsbsd 8s they -presently exist or 2s they may hereafter be amended.
It is further resolved that said. Public :.\Tor& Director is hereby
appointed as a decuty of the Build-icg Impector for the purpose of
inspecting septic tmks, an$- is hereby ermowered, authorized end fn-
structed to make all inspections incident to the icstallation of
septic tanks.
