RESOLUTION
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, that the City Clerk be and hereby is ordered
and directed to cause to be published in the Carlsbad Journal, a
newspaper published and of general circulation in the City of Carls-
bad, a Notice Inviting Bids for the purchase of a fim truck for the
City of Car1sba.d according to the plans and specificatfons for the
construction and equipment of the fire truck as on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, and that such Notice
Inviting Bids shall be in the following form, to-wit:

NOTICE INVITING BIDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed proposals will be received at
the office of the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad on or before the
27th day of October 9 1953, at the hour of 2:OO o'clock
p.m., and to be opened at the last-mentioned date and heard at a public
meeting of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, State of California,
to be held on said date at 7:OO o'clock p.m. in the City Hall of said
City, for the purchase of a fire truck for the City of Carlsbad,
All bids must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the
order of the City of Carlsbad in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of
the amount of the bid,
Specifications for the construction and equipment of the fire
truck are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Carls-
bad and will be submitted to 2ny bidder upon his request.
Bidders must specify in their proposals that should the above
order be awarded to them they will bind themselves to finish and corn-
plete the same by and prior to June 30, 1954.
Said City Council reserves to itself the right to accept or reject
any or all proposals for the above work as they may deem best for the
interest of the City,
This notice is given by direction of the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, this 15th day of September, 1953, by the vote
following, to-wit:
