WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has been
requested by the various organizations of the City to aasist in the
construction work for a n auto parking area just to the East of the
Santa Fe Railway Station;and
TRhereas,the City Council has approved the plan for the im-
provement of this area on the condition that the area might be
leased by the City of Carlsbad from the Santa Fe Railway for a
reasonable amount; and
WHEREAS, the Sant a Fe Railway has offered the City a lease for
an iddefinite period at the rate of $1.00 per year;
NOS THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
of the City of Carla’oad arc hereby authorised to sign the lease
prof6ered by the Santa Fe Railway,
PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day og November,l953,
by the following vote&
