The City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve that C A. hthong
be and hereby 5s employed as the (Public Works Djrector, Building
Inspector and Traffic Engineer ot the City of Carlsbad for a
probationary term to commence 9.5 (of the date of passage of this
resolution, ~5th said probationqy employment to terminate I
on Xarch 31, 1954. In the eventino further resolutions are
adopted by this Co~-cIl regardin$ the employment herein considered
on or before the 31st day of Mardh, 1954, then the appointee
herein named shall continue to serve on a regular basis untll
the 31st day of June, 1954.

It Ss further resolved that 'the salary of the appozntee
hereitn named be and the same 3s kiereby fixed at Four mndred
($400.00) Dollars per month durldg the probationsry period above
referred to. At the expiration o,f the probatlonary period
above referred to the salary shall be and the same is hereby
fixed 2% Four Hundred and Twenty4five ($425.00) Dollars per
nonth until the terminatSon of tqe employlnent herein provided
for. The payment for the servfceis of' the eppointee herefn named
shall commence BS 02 the 18th day of January, 1954,
It is further resolved thet the sard Public Works Director,
Bujlding inspector and Traffic Engineer shall perform all
duCZes delegated to such named off'icfals in the ordinances of
the City of Carlsbad 2s they preskmtly exist or as they may
hereafter be smended.
