the City of Carlsbd has made a study of the areas available in the
City of Carlsbad for use or development as a site for a Civic Center;and
BliHE2ZW3,the Site Committee has recommended that the City of
Carlsbad purchase from Mrs. Alice Houston the property on Pi0 Pic0
Wive between Elm Avenue and Laguna Drive as a site for a combined
flre and police station;
NON THEREFQR,BE IT 33SOLvED that the City Council of the City of
Carlsbsrd hereby authorize the purchase of the above mentioned pro-
perty from Ws, Uice Mouston for the sum of Three Thousand Five
Hundred ($3,500.@0) cash.
