W”S, on the 16th day of July, 1952, the City of Carlsbad
was Pncorporated as a Sixth Class Cfty in the State of California; *
and - WmRE,&S, Edward G, Hagen was’by popular vote elected %o the
E97 office of C€ty Clerk of the C€tg of Carlsbad; and
IHeREIEeS, the organizational and admintstrative problems
incsdent to the origlnal inplementation of the governmental duties
incumbent upon the CPty Clerk of the C€ty of Carlsbad have been
most complex, and very demanding of the time of the City Clerk, and
WNH&R3hS, Edward G. Hagen has diligently and faithfully
entered upon the performance of the duties appurtenant to the office
of CSty Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Council fs most appreciative of the Wgh
fidelity and acute devotion to duty that has been exercised by
the CSty Clerk;
NOW THEFGXEE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the City CouncS1 of
the City of Carlsbad does hereby extend Its grateful appreoSation
to Edward G. Eagen for having so diligently and faithfully served
the people of the City of Carlsbad.
