RESOLUTION EMPLOYING bUJXIXE ENGINEER
FOR PRELIMINARY EEGINEZRING WORK ON
OCEAN JETTY, -
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has
appropriated the sum of $1,000.00 for the employment of an
engineer to do preliminary engineering on the construction of
an.ocean jetty within the incorporated limits of the City of
Car Is bad ; and
~-v%ERE.AS, the City Council has considered the merits of
various engineers and has determined that 3, L. PATTERSON is
well qualified, able and willing to perform such preliminary
survey,
NOW, TEEREFORB, BE IT RESOLVED that Mr, R. L, Patterson
is hereby retained by the City of Carlsbad for the purpose of
preparing a preliminary engineering survey for the construction
of an ocean jetty within the incorporated limits of the City of
Carlsbad.
BE IT PURTEIER 3iISOLVED that the preliminary engineering
survey herein ordered shall be confined to the construction of
an ocean jetty extending seaward beyond the headlands of the
ocean entrance of the Agua Hedionda Creek,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment for such services as
authorized shall be based upon an hourly charge, and shall in no
event exceed the sum of &l,OOO,OO being charged to the City of
Carls bad,
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September ,
l9$, by the following vote, to wit:
