HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-12-20; City Council; Resolution 194n 1 R€SOLUTION NO. 1.94 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT PROVIDING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD IN THE CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, AWING ITS EMPLOYEES MEAlIBERS OF SAID SYSTEM -- 5 6 WHEREAS, the California State Employees' Retirement law 7 8 allows the participation of the City of Carlsbad in the California State Employees' Retirement System, making its employees members 9 of said system, and 10 11 12 13 14 15 participation, by unanimous vote, 16 NOW, TICEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council 17 18 19 20 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on November 22, 1955, adopted a Resolution giving notice of intention to approve a contract providing for such participation, and WHEREAS, the employees of said Agency, whose memberships in said Retirement System are contemplated, have approved said authorizes, and it does hereby authorize a contract between the City of Carlsbad and the Board of Administration, State Employees' Retirement System, a copy of said contract being attached hereto marked Exhibit llAtf and by such reference made a part hereof as 21 though herein set out in full, and 22 23 24 execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad. 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLV€D, that the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad be, ami he is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 26 1955, by the following vote: 27 AYES : Councilmen Welton, Robinson, Sutton, Mayor Edc. 28 NOES: Noner 29 ABSENT:Councilman Castorena. 30 31 32 L , --- _I of the City of CarlsbBd, Carlsbad, California ATTEST: Pr i SACRAMENTO ,.
