RESOLUTION URGING SEUCTION OF HARBORS OF REFUGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH U. S.
bRtviy CORPS OF ENGINEERS' REPORT OF 1947,
@HEREAS, harbors of refuge along the coast of California
will play the major roll in the completion of a chain of harbors;
and,
WHEREAS, these harbors of refuge will act as lighthouses
along the coast being placed in the now long gaps where there is
no protection between established harbors; and,
WHEREAS, the entire harbor of refuge program may be delayed
until all county master plans are submitted as required under
Chapter 1850 (AB2939),
NOW, TIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the harbors of refuge
as designated by the Corps of Engineers, W, S, Army in their
preliminary report of 1947 be used as a basis of establishing a
master plan of harbor of refuge, thereby separating the harbor of
refuge program from the harbors of recreation and giving top
priosity to the harbors of refuge,
PASSED, @PROVED AND ADOPED at:a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held this h8tkiay of
