RESOLUTION NO. 273
RESOLUTION APPROVING TENTATIVE
MAP OF HEISLER ESTATES.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad on the
11th day of June, 1957 recommended to the City Council that the tentative map
of I-IEISLER ESTATES be approved,subject to the conditions set forth in
Resolution #19 of the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 2nd day of
July, 1957, considered the recommendations of the Planning Commission,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad, that the City Council does hereby approve said tentative map of
HEISLER ESTATES, subject to the following recommendations and conditions
being performed and/or met by the Subdivider.
(a) That Subdivider install a standard six (6) inch fire hydrant
on Lot 18 of the proposed subdivision at the intersection of
Basswood Avenue and MzKinley Street; that a second fire hydrant
be provided on Lot 12 of the proposed subdivision on Heisler Lane.
(b) That all buildings in this subdivision be connected to the public
sewer system of the City of Carlsbad, with the Subdivider to install
the public sewer in the proposed subdivision, together with any
required connecting sewer, in accordance with the specifications,
ordinances and regulations of the City of Carlsbad under the direc-
tion of, and subject to the inspection of the City Engineer of the City
of Carlsbad; provided that in no event shall sewer and whter lines be
laid in the same trench in any part of the subdivision.
(c) That the Subdivider install approximately 650 feet of 6” Class
150 asbestos cement pipe in the streets of the proposed subdivision;
that Subdivider install Class 150 valves and fittings to meet A. W. W. A.
specifications; that Subdivider shall install at the time of installation
of water main, one inch copper services to each lot to be serviced;

that the Subdivider install a 3/4 inch meter on each lot proposed
to be serviced at such time as water service is to be required by
the shareholder; that the foregoing installations shall be in accord-
ance with the plans and specifications of the Carlsbad Mutual Water
Company and in accordanee with the direction, and subject to the
inspection of the Manager of the Carlsbad Mutual Water Company.
(d) That the Subdivider be required to provide proper drainage
throughout the subdivision so as to prevent ponding and/or storage
of surface water, said drainage facilities to be constructed in accord-
ance with the plans and specifications of the City of Carlsbad and in
accordance with the direction of, and subject to the inspection of the
City Engineer of the City of Carlsbad; that said required drainage -'
facilities shall include among other requirements a storm drain over
an easement provided by the Subdivider from the West end of Heisler
Lane to Adams Street,
(e) That the Subdivider shall be required to install the following
street improvements:

within the subdivision and for such portion of the/as fronts
Type "G" combination curb and gutters for all streets

upon Adams Street; that curbs and gutters will not be re-
quired of Subdivider for such portion of the subdivision as
fronts upon Basswood Avenue,
2. Two inches of asphaltic concrete pavement and base in
accordance with the engineering requirements of the City
of Carlsbad.
3. That all necessary traffic and street name signs be
installed.

Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 2nd day of July, 1957, by the folhwing vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Castorena, Councilmen Robinson, Heltan and Ledgerwood
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Baird.

access thereto.

dedicated be entirely removed, and that the Subdivider shall be

proposed Heisler Lane be offered to the City of Carlsbad for
dedication, but that said one foot strip shall not be accepted
by the City of Carlsbad as a dedicated street and the same
shall remain in fee as an ownership of the Subdivider or assigns,
subject to said offer and dedication shall remain in full force and
of the City of Carlsbad,
