RESOLUTION NO. 283
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAWBAD APPROVING THE
TENTATIVE MAP OF SUNNYSLOPE TRACT
RESUBDIVISION NO. 1, BUENA VISTA
TERRACE.
No. 27 that the tentative map of SUNNYSLOPE TRACT RESUBDIVISION NO. 1 :
BUENA VISTA TERRACE, be approved subject to the conditions contained
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad on the
in Resolution No. 27 of the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 3rd day of
September

1957, duly considered the recommendation of the Planning
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Carlsbad as follows:
That the City Council does hereby approve the tentative map of "Sunnyslc
Tract Resubdivision No. 1, Buena Vista Terrace", subject to the following
recommendation and conditions being performed by the Subdivider:
1. That tree planting be in accordance with Section No. 417 (j) of
Ordinance No. 9050.
2. That Type "Gr3 combination curb and gutter shall be used for all
streets within the subdivision, namely Buena Place.
3. Street paving shall be two (2) inches or more of asphaltic concrete
and sub-base as required by the City of Carlsbad standard specifications, and
in accordance with improvements plans approved by the City Engineer.
4. That all necessary street and traffic signs shall be installed as
provided in Section 417 (h) and (j) of Ordinance No. 9050.
5. That all undeyground utilities shall be installed prior to permanent
paving of Buena Place.
6. That one standard 6 inch fire hydrant shall be installed on the
property line between lots 8 and 9 and within the public right-of-way.
7. That all buildings constructed in this subdivision shall connect with

the public sewer system of the City of CarIsbad.
8. That all buildings in this Subdivision shall connect to th
Mutual Water Company system, or its successor.

9. That sewer and water lines shall not be laid in the same trench in
any part of the subdivision.
10. That proper drainage shall be maintained throughout the subdivision
so as to prevent ponding and/or storage of water
11. That the three (3) feet on the westerly edge of Lot 1, as shown on
the revised map, be dedicated to the City fgr street purposes.
12. That a concrete cross gutter shall be provided at the intersection
of Jefferson Street and Buena PIace in accordance with improvement plans
approved by the City Engineer.
13. That all lots shall be graded to avoid pooling or ponding of drainage
water.
14. That along the most westerly 382.50 feet of proposed Buena Place
that the City accept a right-of-way for street purposes of a width of 49 feet.
15. That the Subdivider shall deed to the City of Carlsbad a strip of
land one (1) foot in width along the northerly boundary of the proposed Buena
Place, extending from the intersection of Jefferson Street and Buena Place in
an easterly direction for a distance of 382.50 feet.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to place a copy of this resolution in
the usual course of mail, addressing the same to Earco, 550 Laguna Drive
Carlsbad, California.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 3rd day of September, 1957, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Castorena, Councilmen Ledgerwood and Helton.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen Baird and Robinson.
