RESOLUTION NO. 305
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBBD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMf3ERS TO FILE WRITTEN ARGU- ESENTS FOR CITY MEASURES.
WEREAS, an election is to be held in the City
of Carlsbad on December 17, 19 57,-at which
there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said
city the following city measures:
Shall the City of Carlsbad issue water revenue bonds in the principal sum of $598,000 for the acquisition by said city of the waterworks, property, property rights and other assets of the Carlsbad Mutual Water Company, including funds for the payment of liabilities, and financing of all engineering, inspection and legal fees, costs of the bond election and of the issuance of said revenue bonds, bond reserve funds and working capital
and other costs and expenses incidental to or connected with such acquisition and financing?
Shall the City of Carlsbad issue water revenue bonds in the principal sum of $169,000 for the acquisition, construction, and financing of extensions, enlargements and improvements of the waterworks to be acquired by the city and any water lines owned by the city, includ- ing works and facilities for the storage, transmission and distribution of water, and the acquisition of water rights, land, easements, rights of way and other property necessary therefor, and including all engineer- ing, inspection and legal fees, costs of the issuance of said revenue bonds, bond reserve funds, and other costs and expenses incidental to or connected with such acquisi- tion, construction and financing?
PROPOSITION C - CONTRACT: Shall the contract dated August 30, 1957, between the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad Nutual Water Company, on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad, be approved?

PROPOSITION B - REVENUE BONDS - IMPRUVEMENT:

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER as follows:
Section 1. That this City Council, being the
legislative body of the City of Carlsbad , hereby
authorizes

members of said body, to file written arguments for each
of the city measures set forth in the recitals hereof in
accordance with Article' 4, Chapter 3, Division 4 of the
Elections Code of the State of California and to change
said arguments until and including the date fixed by the
City Clerk after which no argumentas for or against said
eity measures may be rsubmftted to him.
