NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council hereby
requests the Governor of the State of California to include in the call for the
1958 Special Session of the State Legislature the introduction of legislation
to amend Section 50701 of the Government Code and subsequent sections now
dealing with golf courses, to include marinas and small craft harbors, and the
RESOLUTION NO. 345

THE CITY OF CARLSBAD REQUESTING THE
GOVERNOR INCLUDE IN THE CALL FOR THE
1958 SPECIAL SESSION OF THE STATE LEGIS-
LATURE THE INTRODUCTION OF LEGISLATION
TO PERMIT THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND AND THE
CONSTRUCTION OF FACIUTIES FOR MARINAS
AND SMALL CRAFT HARBORS.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City o-
Carlsbad at an adjourned meeting held on the 28th day of February, 1958, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Castorena, Councilmen Robinson and Helton.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as

WHEREAS, the City is desirous of improving its waterfront by the
acquisition of land and the construction of facilities for marinas and small
craft harbors; and
WHEREAS, adequate State statutes do not now exist in this field for the
amendment of the Revenue Bond Law of 1941, particularly Section 54309 of
the Government Code, to also include the authorization for the issuance of
revenue bonds for the acquisition and construction of facilities for marinas

ABSENT: Councilmen Baird and Ledgerwood.
