RESOLUTION NO. 347
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS
TO FILE WRITTEN ARGUMENTS FOR CITY MEASURE.
WHEREAS, an alection is to be held in the City of Carlsbad, California
on April 8, 1958, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors
of said city the following city measure:
PROPOSITION A CONTRACT AMENDMENT: Shall the
City Council be authorized to amend the Agreement of
Purchase between the City of Carlsbad and the Carlsbad
Mutual Water Company (Dated August 30, 1957 and approved
by the voters of the City December 17, 1957 and on file in
the office of the City Clerk) by striking therefrom the
provision requiring litigation, to wit:
s'(c) The power of the City and of the Mutual respectively, to enter into, and carry out the terms of, this agreement ha been established by a decree of a court of competent
jurisdiction. " ?
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, DOSS HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as
follows :
Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative body of
the City of Carlsbad, California , hereby authorizes
MANUAL M. CASTORENA
CHARLES B, LEDGERWOOD
pi. R. ROBINSON
CLAUDE R. HELTON
DAVID E. BAIRD
members of said body, to file written arguments for fhik city measure set
forth in the recital hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 4
of the Elections Code of the State of California and to change said arguments

until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments
for or against said city measures may be submitted to him.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 28th day of February,
1958.
