HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-03-04; City Council; Resolution 348RESOLUTION NO. 348 A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE THE: SOUTHERLY TWENTY FEET OF GRAND AVENUE, ANDTHENORTHERLYTWENTYFEETOFGRAND AVENUE BETWEEN CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AND WEAN STREET: TO VACATE THE SOUTHERLY TEN FEETANDTKE:NORTHE.RLYTENFEETOFCEDAR BETWEEN CARLSBA39 BOULEVAFtD AND OCEAN STREET: AND ESTABLISHING A TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING. The Oity Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as Follows: EXECTION 1. The procedure for the vacation of the southerly twenty Feet of Grand Avenue and the northerly twenty feet of Grand Avenue between Carlsbad Boulevard and Ocean Street, the southerly ten feet and the northerly ten feet of Cedar between Garlsbad Boulevard and Ocean Street, in the City of Carlsbad, shall be, and the same is hereby ordered to be in accordance with the proceedings set forth in the Sta-te Vacation Act of 1941, contained in Sections 8300 to 8374 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California. SECTION 2. It is hereby resolved and declared to be the intention of the City Council to vacate them.therly twenty feet of Grand Avenue and the northerly twenty feet of Grand Avenue between Carlsbad Boulevard and Ocean Street, the southerly ten feet and the northerly ten feet of Cedar between Carlsbad Boulevard and Ocean Street, the details of such proposed vacation being more specifically set forth in a map and plan in the office of the City Clerk, which map and plan is entitled "Proposed Street Vacation of Grand Avenue", bearing the date 1-13-58, Project No. 7-89, Drawing No, 113-10. SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby establis as the date for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the proposed vacation, at 7:30 o'clock, April 1, 1958, at its regular meeting place in the City Hall in the City of Carlsbad, 2960 Pi0 Pic0 Drive, Carlsbad, California. SECTION 4. The City Engineer is hereby ordered to post notices of street vacation, as herein proposed, conspicuously along the line of the street, or parts thereof, proposed to bevacated, with said posting to be accomplished 3 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 3.0 11 12 1: 14 1: 1f 1: 1t 1: 2( 2: 2< 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 3 3 7 v .t least ten (10) days before the 1st day of April, 1958. Such notices shall be bosted not more than ,three hundred (300) feet apart, with at least three (3) leing posted upon the portions of street proposed to be vacated. The notices .s posted shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and shall rtate the time and place of hearing of persons interested in, or objecting to he proposed vacation . SEiCTION 5. The Oity Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to cause his Resolution to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal, a weekly news- laper of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad.
