RESOLUTION NO. 371
RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL
ADOPTING THE PRECISE PLAN OF PACIFIC PLAZA,
SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS FOR PERMITTED MODI-
FICA T IONS THERE0 F.
WEREAS, on the 8th day of April, 1958, the Planning Commission of
the City of Carlsbad adopted Resolution No. 59, recommending the adoption
of the precise plan of Pacific Plaza, a copy of which precise plan is attached
hereto and marked "Exhibit A", and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, on May 6, 1958, a duly advertised hearing was held by the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, at which time the City Council consider-
ed the recommendations of the Planning Commission, hea,rd all persons
interested in or opposed to the adoption of the precise plan, and considered
all factors relating to the adoption thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the precise plan, marked "Exhibit A", attached hereto,
entitled "Precise Plan of Pacific Plaza", is hereby adopted as the precise
plan for the area shown and described in said "Exhibit A".
2. It is hereby ordered that the City Manager and persons working
under his direction are assigned the duties of enforcing and requiring comH
pliance with the requirements of said precise plan.
3. The Planning Commission is hereby authorized and permitted to
mdify said precise plan in the following particulars as follows:
a. The ingress and egress features may be modified to coincide
with the location and grade of the access\roads hereinafter designed
by the State of California for its'freeway interchange to be located at
the intersection of El Camino Real and Vista Way.
b. That after receiving the approval of the City Engineer of
the City of Carlsbad the Planning Commission be permitted to
mdify the drainage facilities so as to inter-relate with the drainage
facilities to be hereinafter constructed by the State of California for
the interchange at Vista Way and El Camino Real.

C. That the location and placement of buildings as shown on
the proposed precise plan may be modified provided that the ratio
of parking area to floor space areas to be not less than as shown on
the map attached hereto.
d. That the floor plans of the several buildings may be modified
to meet the operative requirements of the occupants thereof.
e. That any and all changes made as above set forth maintain
the placement of the major buildings in the center of the precise plan
substantially as shown on the attached map and that the pedestrian
malls be maintained between all of such buildings as showjl on the
attached map.
f. That traffic entrances may be changed in number but shall in
no event exceed the number of entrances on each side as the same are
shown on the attached map.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 6th day of May, 1958, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Mayor Baird, Councilmen Ledgerwood, Helton, Lough, and
Councilwoman Sonneman.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
