RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, DIRECTING THE
PLANNING COMMISSION TO HOLD A HEARING TO
CONSIDER A PROPOSED CHANGE OF ZONE FROM
150’ WESTERLY OF ROOSEVELT STREET BETWEEN
ITS INTERSECTION WITH GRAND AVENUE AND
VELT STREET BETWEEN ITS INTERSECTION WITH
GRAND AVENUE AND LAGUNA DRIVE; EXCLUDING
AND DIRECTING THE SECRETARY OF THE PLANNING
COMMISSION TO GIVE NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED
CHANGE OF ZONE.
ZONE R-P TO ZONE C-2 FOR THAT AREA LYING
LAGUNA. DRIVE; 150‘ LYING EASTERLY OF ROOSE-
THEREFROM ALL LANDS PRESENTLY ZONED C-2;
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad on its own motion
does hereby declare its intention to consider the change of zone from Zone R-P
to Zone C-2 for that area on Roosevelt Street in the City of Carlsbad generally
described as follows:
150 lying westerly of Roosevelt Street between
its intersection with Grand Avenue and Laguna Drive;
150’ lying easterly of Roosevelt Street between its
intersection with Grand Avenue and Laguna Drive, excluding therefrom all lands presently zoned C-2.
SECTION 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
directed to hold a public hearing in the manner provided be law to consider the
above proposed change of zone.
SECTION 3. The Secretary of the Planning Commission is hereby
directed to give notice in the manner prescribed by law of the above proposed
change of zone.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad, held on the 5th day of August, 1958, by
the following vote, to wit:

None ABSENT:
Mayor Lough, Councilmen Ledgerwood, Helton and Grober,
and Councilwoman Sonneman.
