HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-10-21; City Council; Resolution 453RESOLUTION NO. 453 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD APPROVING THE TENTATIVE MAP OF GREEEJWOOD PARK. WHEREXS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of October, 1958, recommended to the City Council by their Resolutior No. 86 that the tentative map of GREENWOOD PARK be approved subject to thf conditions contained in Resolution No. 86 of the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of October, 1958, duly considered the recommendation of the Planning Commis- sion. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: That the City Council does hereby approve the tentative map of GREENWOOD PARK subject to the following recommendations and conditions being performed by the Subdivider: 1. The tentative map is in compliance with the technical requirements of the Subdivision Ordinance, except for 302 (a), address of owner and sub- divider missing. 2. All lots appear to have sufficient area and lot frontage for the R-1, 6,000 square foot zone, except as noted in 3. 3. A variance on the width of lot No. 9 is allowed, if necessary, with the restriction that the lot frontage not be less than 60 feet in width, and that every effort be made to maintain the required maximum width. Department of Public Services recommends that there be sufficient dedication of land so that Laguna Drive can be developed to a street with 60 feet of right of way and 40 feet of roadway. The 4. All new subdivision streets and improvements for existing rights of way or dedications along rights of way shall be constructed to the standards of the City of Carlsbad. Permanent street paving shall consist of 2" or more of asphaltic concrete laid upon sub-base approved by the Department of Public Services. All lots should be adequately graded to prevent ponding within the subdivision and to provide for adequate street drainage. 6. The Department of Public Services recommends a drop inlet at the southwesterly round corner of Laguna and Banning, with the necessary storm drainage to be approved by the City Engineer, to be connected with the existing drainage facilities at the northeasterly corner of Jefferson and Laguna. A con- crete cross gutter shall be installed at the entrance of Banning Lane. 7. All required street name signs, barricades, and safety devices shall be installed in the subdivision. 8. The subdivider shall allow a sufficient deposit to plant the street trees in accordance with the requirements of the City of Carlsbad. 9. Water mains and services, sewers and laterals and all other under ground utilities shall be installed prior to the paving of the streets. 10. This new construction must conform to the standards of the City of The municipal water system will have to be extended into Banning Lane. Carlsbad. 11. Sewer services as indicated on the tentative map will be adequate and must conform to the standards of the City of Carlsbad. 12. All improvements required of the subdivider to be installed and dedicated to the City of Carlsbad shall be described in improvement plans approved by the Department of Public Services, and no construction shall commence until such plans are approved. 13. One (I) standard 6" firehydrant shall be located at the northwest corner of lot No. 9. The City Clerk is hereby directed to place a copy of this resolution in the usual course of mail, addressing the same to Marvin S. Humphreys, 3060 Monroe St., Carlsbad, California.
