A RESOLUTION OF THE: CITY OF
CARLSBAD FINDING A PORTION OF
CARLSBAD BOULEVARD
FOR PRESENT OR PROS IC STREET PURPOSES; VA PORTION OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD; AND ORDERING CLERK TO RECORD A CERTIFIED COPY HEREOF WITH THE COUNTY RECORDER OF SAN DIEGO
COUNTY,
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of December, 1958, the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad adopted Resolution No. 474, stating its intention to vacate
the property herein vacated, and setting a time and place of hearing; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has posted notices stating street vacation
and date of hearing in accordance with the provisions of Section 8332 of the
Streets and Highway Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on January 6, 1959, the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad held a hearing at its regular meeting place in the the
City of Carlsbad at 2960 Pi0 Pic0 Drive; and
WHEREAS, all persons who were interested in or opposed to the street
vacation were heard,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does
hereby find that that portion of Carlsbad Boulevard hereinafter described is
unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
as follows:
1. That the following described lands shall be, and are hereby vacated,
said lands being more particularly described as follows:
All that real property situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, being a portion of Section 1," Township 12 south, Range 5 west, San Bernardino Meridian, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of Tract 200 of Thum
Lands according to Map No. 1681 thereof, filed in the office of the
County Recorder of San Diego County, (from which said point the most westerly corner of said Tract 200 bears north 30" 47' 55"
west, 40.00 feet); thence from said point of beginning south
30" 47' 55" east, 59.10 feet to a point in the westerly line of State

Dist-XI-SD-2-B on Sheet 20, dated December 26, 1933; Thence along said westerly line on a curve to the right (chord bearing north 3"57' 45" West) havia a radius of 1,050.00 feet through a central angle of 3" 36' 50 an arc distance of 66.23 feet; thence north 59" 12' 05" East 16.15 feet; thence along a curve to the right (chord bearing south 89" 51' 02.5" East ) having a radius of 20.00 feet, through a central angle of 1.18" 06' 15" an arc distance of 41.23 feet; thence along a curve to the left, (chord bearing south loQ 58' 00" east), having a radius of 1,006 feet, through a central angle of 16" 32' 40" an arc distance of 290. eet to a point on the northeasterly
line af the lands of the State of in deed dated June 13, 1933, and recorded in Book 230, on Page 308,
Official Records, San Diego County; thence along said Northeasterly
line north 30" 39' 55" east, 301.73 feet; thence north 59" 12' 05'' east
33. 50 feet to the Point of Beginning.

2. The City Clerk shall be, and he is hereby instructed to cause a
certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of San Diego County, and to further submit a certified copy hereof
to the State of California, Department of Natural Resources, Division of
Beaches and Parks.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council of the City of Carlsbad held on the 20th day of January, 1959,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Nayor Ledgerwood, Councilmen Grober and Helton, and Councilwomen Sonnema~1 and Coats, NOES: NOW3
