RESOLUTION NO. 489.
A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE THE WESTERLY PORTION OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD BETWEEN CERTAIN DESIGNATED P S; AND
ESTABLISHING A TIME AND PLACE HEARING.
All that real property situated in the County of San Diego, State of California, being a portion of Sections 1 and 12, Township 12 South, Range 5 West, and Section 7, Township 12 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Meridian. More particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the Southeast Corner of the Lands of the State of California as said Lands are described in deed dated June 13, 1933
and recorded in Book 230 on Page 308, Official Records of
Diego County, said Southeast Corner being on the centerlin the State Highway as shown on Map of Thum Lands Numb r 1682,
filed in the office of the Recorder of said County, (from which said
Southeast Corner a 6" x 6" concrete monument on the Northwesterly Line of the Rancho Agua Hedionda and on the Southwesterly Line of State Highway 101 as said Highway is shown on Highway Layout Map, DIST, XI-S. D. -2-13, Sheets 19 and 20, dated December 26, 1933,
bears South 29O 56' 4 beginning North 32" West, 8.01 feet; thence along a curve to the right, having a radius of 8,004.91 feet, thru a central angle of 3" 33' 33", a distance of 497.26 feet; thence North 32" 29' 30'' West; 1,086.02 feet; thence
North 34O 40' 30" West, 79.76 feet; thence along a curve to the right,
hzving a radius of 16,865.78 feet, thru a central angle of 1" 04' 04", a distance of 314. 38 ; thence on a curve to the right, having a
radius of 5,937.05 f thru a central angle of 3" 05' 41", a distance
of 320.68 feet; then rth 30" 30' 45" West, 799.43 feet; thence e right, having a radius of 1,006 feet, thru a central 25", a distance of 197.95 feet to a point on the ne of the Lands of the State of California, previously
mentioned; thence North 30" 39' 55" West, along said Northeasterly
line, 301.73 feet to a point from which the most Westerly Corner

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The procedure for the vacation of the westerly portion
of Carlsbad Boulevard bekeen certain dehignated points in the City of
Carlsbad, shall be, and the same is hereby ordered to be in accordance with
the proceedings set forth in the State Vacation Act of 1941, contained in
Sections 8300 to 8374 of the Streets and Highways Code O€ the State of
California.
SECTION 2. It is hereby resolved and declared to be the intention
of the City Council to vacate that portion of the westerly portion of Carlsbad
Boulevard, more particularly described as follows:

SECTION 3. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby establish
as the date for hearing all persons interested in, or objecting to, the proposed

SECTION 4. The City Engineer is hereby ordered to post notices
of street vacation, as herein proposed, conspicuously along the line of the stre
or parts thereof, proposed to be vacated, with said posting to be accomplished
at least ten (10) days before the 3rd day of March, 1959.
