CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC ~NTEREST AND- NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAL IMPROVENENTS, AND MAKING FINDINGS RELATING THERETO. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and necessity demandsthe acquisition and construction by the City of Carlsbad of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: additions to the sanitary sewage collection, treatment and disposal system of said city, including interceptor and trunk sewers, ocean outfall sewer, pumping stations, new sewage treatment plants, additions to the existing treatment plant, and for the foregoing appurten- ances and works appurtenant thereto, including the acquisition of all land, easements, rights of way, pipe, pumps, machinery and other property necessary therefor. That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is the sum of $1,200,000 which includes any or all of the following: incidental to or connected with the authorization, issuance and (a) legal or other fees sale of the bonds, and (b) the costs of printing the bonds and other costs and expenses incidental to or connected with the issuance and sale of the bonds. Section 2. That the public interest and necessity demand the acquisition and construction by the City of Carlsbad of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: storm drains with appurtenances and appurtenant work, including the acquisition of land, easements, rights of way, apparatus, equipment and other property necessary therefor. That the estimated cost of said municipal improvement is the sum of $155,000 which includes any or all of the following: (a) legal or other fees incidental to or connected with the authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds, and (b) the costs of printing the bonds and other costs and expenses incidental to or connected with the issuance and sale of the bonds. Section 3. That the public interest and necessity demandsthe acquisition and construction by the City of Carlsbad of a certain municipal improvement, to wit: street work and improvements, including grading and the construction or reconstruction of paving, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drainage facilities and appurtenances and appurtenant work, the opening, widening, extension, alignment or realignment of streets, the relocation of public utilities, and the acquisition of land, easements, rights of way, apparatus, equipment and other property necessary for any of the foregoing. The estimated cost of said municipal improvement is the sum of $500,000 which includes any or all of the following: other fees incidental to or connected with the authorization, issuance and sale of the bonds, and (b) the costs of printing the bonds and other costs and expenses incidental to or con- (a) legal or nected with the issuance and sale of the bonds. That the porrCcion of the estimated cost to be paid from bonds of the City of Carlsbad is the sum of $5OO,OOO. Section 4. That each of said municipal improvements requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual tax levy. 0. Section 5. That each of said municipal improve- ments is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the City of Carlsbad. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 26th day of May 9 1959.
